Sharad Kelkar, who will be lending his voice to Prabhas once again in Om Raut’s ‘Adipurush’ after ‘Baahubali’, recently defended the filmmaker and the film amidst controversy.
In an interview with a news portal, Sharad said the film is going to be wonderful because whatever little he has seen of it, it is massive. Although he is yet to start dubbing, he has seen a few scenes and feels it is going to be amazing. According to him, nobody has tried such a thing before.
Elaborating further, Sharad also added that Om Raut is a fantastic director and that his vision is something else. According to him, whatever perception people had of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, he broke it with ‘Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior’ and people accepted it. Kelkar also revealed that he too was apprehensive back then, but he was convinced, and so sure of it. Asking people to trust the director, Sharad stated that he is a fantastic person and will do a wonderful job. He has immense knowledge of cinema, and his vision is something we need today. With Adipurush too, he will be very good, Sharad told IndiaToday.in.
‘Adipurush’ is one of the most anticipated films. The team recently unveiled the much-awaited teaser of the movie in Ayodhya. However, the teaser received mixed reviews from the audience and critics alike. It also received a lot of backlash over its VFX. Reports even suggested that Raut had decided to rework the VFX after the backlash.
‘Adipurush’ stars Prabhas as Lord Ram, Kriti Sanon as Sita, Sunny Singh as Laxman and Saif Ali Khan as Raavan. The film is slated to hit the theatres in January 2023 where it will lock horns with the Shah Rukh Khan starrer ‘Pathaan’.
