This callout is seeking the views of Americans unable to return to America for Thanksgiving.
You may be working or living abroad.
You may even be in space.

Wherever you are, if you’re an American spending Thanksgiving away from the motherland, we want to hear all about it. Are you having a Thanksgiving dinner anyway, disregarding your host country’s baffling lack of pumpkin pie?
What routines and rituals are you able to maintain? Do you still go for the sliced* cranberry sauce? Do you stream the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade at some socially unacceptable time? Do you share Thanksgiving with your non-American friends, or do you prefer to ignore the holiday entirely?
You can share your stories of Thanksgiving abroad by sending us your images and stories via GuardianWitness. Be sure to let us know where in the world you are.
We’ll put together an article featuring your stories tomorrow, so the folks back home will have something to read once they’ve had dinner and staggered back to the couch.
You can share your stories via GuardianWitness by clicking on the blue ‘Contribute’ button on this article. You can also use the Guardian app and search for ‘GuardianWitness assignments’. Or you can fill out the form below...
