American viewers react to Edinburgh influencer Jane Park's US TV show debut

Edinburgh Euromillions winner Jane Park has made her US TV debut - and has caused quite the impression on viewers across the Atlantic.

The exclusive interview on a hit US TV show has been released online with American viewers getting their first glimpse of the capital's high-profile lottery winner.

Jane, 27, teased that there were big things coming in the future when she jetted off to the US before Christmas and was rumoured to feature on a dating show - but it fell through after a disagreement over the contract terms.

But now she has appeared on Dr Phil's talk show in an episode titled 'The Curse of the Lottery'. A preview of the show has been released online, with Jane seen sharing her experience with the celebrity psychologist.

The socialite from the capital sported a hot pink blazer and long dark blonde hair as she was interviewed by talk show host Dr Phil on his hit show to talk about the lotto win that brought the influencer into the spotlight.

Some American viewers were left apparently baffled by Jane's Scottish accent and said they were struggling to understand her. Nick Van Der Peet said: "Can you please repeat everything you said and speak slowly?"

Eric Ervin agreed and said: "LOL. I know, right?"

But Chichi Devayne loved the accent and said: "Your aunty is a good woman giving the advice to invest your money instead of spending it on holidays. I love the British accent though."

Many had advice on how to deal with such a big lifestyle change. Rebecca Blanton said: "If you win live a simple life humble life keep your job invest in a happy medium size home on private land buy a preowned car that suits your needs.

"Then look to further yourself whether its education or learning skill trades learning business going to bible school etc. so winning will not ruin your life."

Rosie Modakewau: "If I won, I'd never go wild crazy spending. Invest invest invest."

While another said: "If I had that amount of money I would leave Scotland and then go apartment hunting I would be living it up in Spain without a thought of going back to Scotland."

In the interview, Jane opens up on online abuse - including one sickening threat to have acid hurled at her. And some viewers agreed that it isn't always a good thing to win the lottery.

Jeffrey Coon said: "Money does not buy happiness. Jane learned the hard way - won the lottery and blew the money. The lottery actually destroyed her happiness. Money is the root of all evil!"

While Ebony Friese added: "Tried to throw acid in her face?! Man, what is wrong with people?! Poor girl. This is why I’d never want to be famous.

Jane featured along with experts discussing the odds and reasons behind why people enter the game and gave her personal views on her jackpot win.

The episode will air in full in the US on Monday at 4pm, however, Jane took to Instagram to say the episode will be available on CBS at 9pm in the UK.

Getting excited to see her story aired on international television, she wrote: "Tomorrow CBS 4pm America, 9pm UK. I know CBS is on fire sticks so that's probably your best bet to watch it, if not the episode will eventually be on YouTube. Aaah could scream."
