Plans to open an American-style diner in Kilmarnock have been reignited.
Proposals submitted in April this year emerged for Western Road but were withdrawn in July.
Now the blueprints have been put forward again for a roadside restaurant and landscaping unit on the busy route.
Extension plans at Lakeside Landscapes also show desires to construct a new garage and car park.
New proposals say the initial plans were halted earlier this year after the applicant said East Ayrshire Council required a coal mining risk assessment to be carried out.
A total of 11 car park spaces exist at the site but the applicant wants to upgrade this to 38.
Detailed blueprints show that a vast garden centre display will hug the surrounding restaurant too. The applicant has allowed for 76 covers in the new diner.
East Ayrshire planners will rule on the proposals at a future date.
