American singer Keelie Walker visits Newcastle for the first time as she supports Westlife on tour

Westlife have been in Newcastle this weekend and one person who has thoroughly enjoying her time in the city is Keelie Walker.

The American singer is one of Westlife's support acts for their big comeback tour, which wowed packed crowds at the Utilita Arena on both Friday and Saturday.

And she has been making the most of her two days in the Toon by seeing some of the sights of our amazing city.

Keelie was in the UK last year supporting Jason Derulo on his arena tour, but with no Newcastle date, she didn't get the chance to head to the North East.

Speaking ahead of Westlife's tour, Keelie, who has racked up plenty of streams of Spotify with tracks like This Is What It’s Like, said "To be a part of the Westlife Twenty tour and to be coming back performing for everyone at arenas across the UK is amazing, I can’t wait.

"To be an opening act on such a massive tour, performing my own songs, is really a dream come true for me and I couldn’t be more thankful."

During her time in Newcastle, Keelie posed up a storm at The Angel of the North, took a trip to the Quayside to see our famous bridges, had a stroll down the Bigg Market and paid a quick visit to St James' Park.

Her time in Newcastle is documented in the video above.
