An American security company is set to assume control of a crucial checkpoint on the road to northern Gaza following the withdrawal of Israeli forces from the area. This transition is expected to occur in the coming days, according to a reliable source familiar with the situation.
Armed personnel from the American security contractor will be stationed at the checkpoint and will be tasked with inspecting vehicles entering northern Gaza. Notably, pedestrians returning to northern Gaza on foot will not undergo inspections, as outlined in the terms of the ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas.
The imminent withdrawal of Israeli forces from the Netzarim Corridor in central Gaza on Saturday will pave the way for displaced residents of northern Gaza to return to their homes, despite the significant damage inflicted on the region.

Reports from Israeli media indicate that UG Solutions, a security contractor, will be responsible for deploying personnel to manage the checkpoint. Additionally, Safe Reach Solutions, another American firm, is said to be involved in the planning and logistical aspects of the checkpoint operation.
Israel has previously considered various strategies involving the deployment of private American contractors to safeguard aid deliveries in Gaza or establish secure humanitarian zones free from Hamas presence. While past proposals have not materialized, the forthcoming deployment of contractor-manned checkpoint represents a pivotal test of the feasibility of utilizing private security firms in Gaza.
