This groundbreaking event will run from May 2 to 5 and aims to celebrate the vibrant creativity and diversity of Indigenous fashion.

The line-up for SWAIA Native Fashion Week is an impressive showcase of Native American and Indigenous Canadian designers. The list includes talented individuals such as Carrie Wood 'Chizhii,' Dehmin Cleland, Himikalas Pamela Baker of T.O.C Legends, House of Sutai by Peshawn Bread, Justin Jacob Louis, Lesley Hampton, Loren Aragon of Towering Stone, Maria Hupfield, Orlando Dugi, Patricia Michaels, Qaulluq, Randy Leigh Barton, and Victoria's Arctic Fashion. And that's not all – organizers have promised to reveal additional designers and special guests in the coming months, adding even more excitement to this anticipated event.

SWAIA Native Fashion Week will kick off with a mini-symposium at the New Mexico Governor's Mansion on May 2. These discussions will not only shine a light on the significance of Indigenous fashion but also provide invaluable insights into the industry from a Native American perspective.

On May 3, a designer-focused fashion hub will take center stage. This hub will serve as a platform for designers to showcase their unique creations and connect with fashion enthusiasts, industry professionals, and potential clients. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the diverse range of Indigenous fashion and engage directly with the creative minds behind the designs.

The weekend of SWAIA Native Fashion Week, May 4 and 5, will be dedicated to the mainstage fashion shows, fashion trunk shows, and brand activation spaces. This is when the designers will unveil their awe-inspiring collections, captivating the audience with their imaginative creations. It's a chance for both established and emerging Indigenous designers to make a lasting impression on the fashion world and showcase the depth of talent within the Indigenous fashion community.

SWAIA's Native Fashion Week promises to be a one-of-a-kind event that celebrates Indigenous fashion while also raising awareness about its importance and cultural significance. By providing a platform for Native American and Indigenous Canadian designers to showcase their work, this fashion week not only supports the growth of the Indigenous fashion industry but also challenges stereotypes and promotes inclusivity within the broader fashion world.
