American Media Inc. Supported Trump's Presidential Bid, Confirms Pecker.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump campaigns in New Hampshire

During a recent discussion, it was revealed that American Media Inc. (AMI) had provided support for Donald Trump's presidential campaign in 2016. This support was highlighted in a Wall Street Journal story featuring Karen McDougal just before the election. The story mentioned that the National Enquirer, a publication owned by AMI, had endorsed Trump and published negative articles about some of his opponents.

One key point of discussion was the concept of 'catch and kill,' which involves purchasing exclusive rights to a story and then not publishing it to protect a person's reputation. It was brought up whether this strategy was discussed during a meeting at Trump Tower in August 2015. It was confirmed that there was no mention of 'catch and kill' during that particular meeting.

Additionally, it was clarified that neither Trump nor his former lawyer, Michael Cohen, had paid any money to AMI in connection with the Dino Sajudin story. This revelation sheds light on the relationship between AMI and Trump, indicating that financial transactions were not involved in certain news coverage.
