American man discovers Sunday lunch but leaves Brits outraged over sauces

A video of an excited American tourist enjoying a pub carvery for the first time while abroad has gone viral - with people divided over the man's reaction.

TikTok star Mr.Miami_UK, also known as Nick, filmed himself visiting The Nickelodeon pub in Wolverhampton, West Midlands, after moving to the UK to study.

And his glorious reception to the traditional Sunday fare did not disappoint - with fans begging him to try fish and chips next.

The hilarious video begins with him arriving at the Greene King pub, while he explains that his followers told him to go.

Nick says: "Sunday dinner was a big thing in America, let's see what the British eat for Sunday dinner.

"I went to a place called Nickelodeon, nothing like the channel. And I had a large carvery."

He then films the long counter where the food is dished out by staff behind a counter.

Looking at the different options, Nick explains that he was concerned that the meat wouldn't be seasoned adequately.

And he shares a pic of the pub's festive decorations, incredulously asking: "Christmas in September?"

He orders a Dark Fruits Strongbow to wash down his meal, while his companion enjoyed an Appletiser.

Showing off his plate - piled high with Brussel sprouts, carrots, stuffing, and pigs in blankets - the TikTok star seems happy with what he received.

But he slightly loses some credit when he adds in the video that he put gravy, mint sauce and cranberry sauce on his dinner.

And Brits were left in stitches over his pronunciation of Yorkshire pudding and Appletiser.

One person joked: "Don't ever say Yorkshire Pudding again."

Another added incredulously: "Apple-tee-eser."

A third joked: "There are so many issues there. What are those sauces??"

One outraged fan commented: "I'm sorry....Apple teezer and Yorkshiaaaaah pudding."

Another commented: "What is that seasoning??"

The excited social media star declares: "What I can only describe as Christmas dinner showed up to my table.

"And I was like 'Oh My God'. I put gravy on the Yorkshire Pudding, I know that's right.

The video has been seen more than one million times (@mr.miami_uk/TikTok)

"And then I put my food on top of it and tore it all up, oh my God, Christmas dinner in England on Sunday....yes!"

The enthusiastic video has gone viral on TikTok with more than one million views, and 282,600 likes.

In a follow-up comment, the man praised the staff describing them as "extremely helpful".

Many commentators loved the video, with one person writing: "I love you man, you're so pure."

Another added: "My favourite person about being British is our Sunday roasts."

A third warned: "That's just Sunday dinner, wait until you see what we do for Xmas."

Another joked: "Just wait until he finds out about the chicken shop."

The TikTok star has uploaded a string of videos documenting his experience in the UK so far, as he enjoys British culture.

At Greggs, he described the chain's sausage rolls as "amazing" although some fans were disappointed he dipped it in ketchup.

And he was delighted to visit Nandos  - where he praised how clean the restaurant's bathroom is.

In the clip, he goes wild over the chain's chicken wings, as he exclaims: "Now this is how a wing is supposed to taste.

"Oh my God.  It's two thumbs up from me."
