American Madison Brengle chugs a tiny bottle of wine after pulling off U.S. Open upset

There have been a few notable upsets over the first two rounds of the women’s singles bracket at the 2020 U.S. Open, highlighted by Caroline Garcia’s stunning victory over No. 1 seed Karolina Pliskova.

30-year-old American Madison Brengle also pulled off an upset on Wednesday to reach the third round and tie her career-best run at the U.S. Open, routing No. 13 Dayana Yastremska in straight sets, 6-2, 6-3. Her celebration after the match inside an empty stadium was perfect.

After completing her on-court interview, she was given a tiny bottle of red wine from her close friend Arina Rodionova, and proceeded to take a giant swig in the stands.
