American Horror Story announces surprise new audio spin-off

FX

A surprise American Horror Story spin-off has been announced, in the form of a new audio series.

Ryan Murphy’s hit horror anthology has previously inspired a number of TV spin-offs, including American Crime Story and American Horror Stories, as well as the forthcoming American Sports Story and American Love Story.

Now, a new three-part audio series has been announced, which will draw from the original series’ 10th season, subtitled Double Feature.

The spin-off will focus on original character Rose Flynn, host of a late-night radio show from the fictional KPCD 666.

In-universe broadcasts will be shared on American Horror Story’s social media pages, such as Twitter, Facebook and YouTube.

Each episode will feature clues and Easter eggs tying into the main story of Double Feature.

Part one is available online now, with two and three to be released over the coming days.

American Horror Story debuted back in 2011 and has run for 103 episodes to date.

Double Feature debuts tonight (25 August) on US TV and is expected to arrive in the UK in October.
