American girl amazingly finds identity of three Mayo fans she took photo of in New York

An American girl has amazingly discovered the identity of three Mayo fans she took a photo of in New York.

Twitter user Christina took to social media to try and track down the three men who asked her to take a photo of them in the Big Apple because they had no mobile phones with them.

She posted: "When I was in the city last week, these three Irishmen asked me to take a photo of them, but none of them had phones.

"'You’ll take the picture and we’ll find it someday'.

"So if by some strange turn of events anyone knows these guys, here’s their photo."

It didn't take long for the men's identity to be revealed as their local GAA club came across the tweet.

Ballyhaunis GAA identified them as Sean Tighe, Bernard Waldron and John Devaney from the Mayo town.

They commented: "The 3 musketeers take NYC !! Sean Tighe, Bernard Waldron and John Devaney. Plenty of sights seen we’d imagine."
