American fast food chain Wingstop reveals opening date for Bristol restaurant

An American fast food chain with more than 1,500 branches worldwide has announced the opening date for its first Bristol restaurant.

The new Bristol restaurant will be Wingstop’s 14th UK location and their first opening in the South West.

Wingstop prides itself on its ‘quality product and bold flavour variety’. Diners can choose from a selection of ten flavours: Lemon Pepper, Atomic, Mango Habanero, Hawaiian, Louisiana Rub, Original Hot, Spicy Korean Q, Hickory Smoked BBQ, Brazilian Citrus Pepper and Garlic Parmesan.

Classic wings, boneless wings, tenders are all available, hand-sauced-and-tossed with a choice of bold flavours.

Wingstop has recently introduced a Big Flavour Burger available in any of the ten flavours served in a buttery brioche bun with coleslaw, ranch, and pickles.

Sweet potato fries or regular fries are also available and can be customised with Lemon Pepper seasoning, Cajun or Wingstop style, or fans can go all out and order loaded fries topped off with either Buffalo Ranch or cheese.

Wingstop’s dip selection includes ranch, blue cheese and honey mustard. To top it off, sweet and crunchy churros are available for dessert with a choice of Oreo or Biscoff crumble and a choice of sweet milk or caramel dip.

Founded in 1994 and with headquarters in Dallas, Texas, Wingstop has grown its portfolio of restaurants in England since 2018 and the aim is to continue expansion with more sites due to open later this year.

Speaking about the new opening, Tom Grogan, Director of Lemon Pepper Holdings (Wingstop UK) said: “We are thrilled to be opening in the heart of Bristol at Cabot Circus.

“Bristol is a vibrant cultural hub of music which is at the heart of our brand and we hope to be an active part of the local community and are committed to providing jobs for local people.”

The new restaurant will be located at Cabot Circus shopping centre, replacing the former Burton clothes store on The Horsefair.

The store is set to open to the public tomorrow (October 20) will be open daily between 11am – 12 midnight, seven days a week.

Delivery and Click and Collect will also be available soon through Deliveroo.

Wingstop will also be hosting a special opening event with a live DJ set from BBC Radio 1Xtra resident, Melody Kane, this Saturday (October 23) from 5pm - 12 midnight.
