American Eagle Outfitters to open in Dublin next month

American Eagle Outfitters is to open its first Irish store at Jervis Shopping Centre on August 5.

The Dublin store will be the first of two openings in Ireland, with the second store opening at Whitewater Newbridge in Co Kildare in September.

The brand has said that further stores will be opening up across the country in the rest of 2021 and 2022.

The denim brand will employ 12 staff at their Jervis store, including a store manager and full-time sales assistants, and have already started advertising for the positions.

An array of exciting offers are planned during the launch period for the first store to be open in Ireland.

Speaking ahead of the store opening, Nish Soneji, CEO of American Eagle AEO EU said: “We are proud to be opening the first American Eagle store at the Jervis Shopping Centre in Dublin, closely followed by the second store at Whitewater Newbridge Co Kildare in September 2021, with further stores rolling out across Ireland, UK and mainland Europe in 2021 and 2022."

The company added that the new Jervis store opening “marked the start of a long journey for the brand in Ireland, with plans for the future store locations and availability through retail partners in Ireland who share the brand’s values.”

In 2019, American Eagle Outfitters along with Levi’s became the only two mainstream clothing companies whose commitments were in line with the Paris Agreement’s climate goals.
