America (and Canada!) won free Taco Bell thanks to the Warriors beating the Raptors

CORRECTION: According to Taco Bell, because the Toronto Raptors are in the Finals, everyone in Canada WILL win free tacos on the same day as the promotion in the United States.

I would tell Toronto Raptors fans that they can at least get a free taco after watching their team not rule the North on Sunday and lose a very winnable Game 2 of the 2019 NBA Finals against the Golden State Warriors.

But those die-hards who live in Canada can’t collect on Taco Bell’s annual “Steal a Game, Steal a Taco” promotion this time because only residents in the United States are eligible. Talk about insult to injury!

As the chain did last year, they promised a free Doritos Locos taco to folks if either team in the Finals won a game while on the road, which happened on Sunday night:

Mark your calendars (and don’t worry, as always, we’ll remind you): On Thursday, June 18, Taco Bells around the country (and in the country to the north) will be handing out one gratis taco between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. local time.
