Ameobi, Cafu, Knockaert - How Nottingham Forest could line up against Middlesbrough

Nottingham Forest will be looking to make it eight games unbeaten in all competitions when they face Middlesbrough this evening.

The Reds take on Boro at the City Ground in fine form, having beaten Millwall 3-1 at the weekend.

And boss Chris Hughton faces the dilemma of whether to stick or twist with the XI which started against the Lions.

GARIBALDI RED: How well is Chris Hughton managing Alex Mighten's development?

He had named a much-changed team at the weekend, from the one which had triumphed over Cardiff City in the FA Cup the previous Saturday.

But it is unlikely there will be too many, if any, alterations tonight.

Hughton regularly makes a point of stressing the need for consistency in selection, particularly in defence.

And with Scott McKenna and Joe Worrall having impressed as a partnership, expect the back line to remain the same.

Samba Sow has struggled with injuries in the past, but is enjoying a good run of fitness - so if the manager is confident he can maintain that, he is likely to once again feature alongside Ryan Yates in midfield.

There’s a chance Hughton may simply name an unchanged line-up, but if he is to make any tweaks, they may come in attack.

Anthony Knockaert had to be content with a place on the bench at the weekend, fresh from agreeing an extension to his loan deal.

But he could come back into the line-up tonight, with Alex Mighten perhaps the man to miss out, although that would be harsh on the youngster.

Predicted Forest XI: Samba, Christie, Worrall, McKenna, Ribeiro, Yates, Sow, Ameobi, Cafu, Knockaert, Grabban.
