Amelia Lily sick with nerves as she stuns Geordie Shore cast by joining the show

Amelia Lily was sick with nerves as she geared up to set foot in the Geordie Shore house for the first time.

The former X Factor has, after much speculation, now been officially confirmed as a new cast mate for the show's 21st series, which will kick off on MTV at the end of this month.

Amelia, 25, reached number 2 in the charts with debut single You Bring Me Joy in 2012 and has since starred in musicals American Idiot and Shrek, as well as Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, was spotted joining the the likes of Chloe Ferry, Bethan Kershaw and Nathan Henry as filming commenced on the long awaited new series at the end of last year.

And she has revealed just how nervous she was to go into the show, saying: "I honestly thought I was going to be sick!

"It was the most nerve wracking experience I have ever felt in my life and the worst thing was that I could hear everyone else inside already.

"And knowing that I was going in, like after everyone else, I was just so scared. "

Geordie Shore stars 'rescued' after getting lost in woods

To say the other Geordie Shore cast members weren't expecting Amelia to walk through the door would be an understatement. Chloe looked stunned while Nathan definitely recognised her and shouted: "What the hell is going on?!"

Amelia isn't the only new face for series 21, she is joined in the ranks by Louis Shaw and Anthony Kennedy.
