Geordie Shore has officially got a shock new cast member, now the lady in question has finally confirmed rumours she's joined the show.
In a shock move for both her and the hit MTV show - former X Factor finalist Amelia Lily has joined the cast! Yes, the North East singer who reached the final of The X Factor in 2011, the year that Little Mix won, is the newcomer for series 21.
The 25 year old, who reached number 2 in the charts with debut single You Bring Me Joy in 2012 and has since starred in musicals American Idiot and Shrek, as well as Celebrity Big Brother in 2017, was spotted joining the the likes of Chloe Ferry, Bethan Kershaw and Nathan Henry as filming commenced on the long awaited new series at the end of last year.
She was also reported to have clashed with Chloe on a night out in Newcastle and we won't have too long to see any drama unfold on screen.
Like many other shows, production on the new series of Geordie Shore was disrupted by coronavirus, but it has now been confirmed that it will return to MTV on Tuesday, July 28.
And Amelia has now revealed on her social media that she will be on the show. Posting a picture of the cast on a video call, she wrote: "SURPRISE!!!! I’m so excited I can FINALLY tell you all that I’m on the new season of @geordieshore! The wait has been soooo long but Tune in to @mtvuk on Tues 28th July at 10pm to see me join the family ."
Amelia isn't the only new face for series 21, she is joined in the ranks by Louis Shaw and Anthony Kennedy.
