An ambulance vehicle and a car were left badly damaged after a crash on the Alan Turing Way.
The crash happened at around 12.15am this morning (Thursday).
Police were called to the scene after a car and a North West Ambulance Service rapid response vehicle, which was responding to an emergency, collided.
The NWAS driver sustained minor injuries.

The driver of the car, a female, was taken to hospital with minor injuries.
No arrests were made.
Pictures taken at the scene this morning showed both vehicles badly smashed up.

One side of the ambulance vehicle was badly damaged.
The bonnet and bumper of the white car involved was completely wrecked in the crash.

Pictures showed it being towed away from the scene.
A GMP spokesperson said: "We were called to a collision between a car and an ambulance on Alan Turing Way shortly before 12.15am this morning.
"Injuries appear to be minor and there were no arrests."
A spokesperson for NWAS said: "At around 12.15 am this morning, an NWAS response vehicle that was responding to an emergency, was involved in a collision with another car on Pottery Lane, Ardwick.
"Following the incident, NWAS sent two ambulances and an Operational Commander to the scene.
"The NWAS member of staff sustained minor injuries but didn’t require hospital treatment.
"The female driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with minor injuries."
