Four people have been hospitalised after a crash between an ambulance and a van in a Scots seaside town.
Emergency crews scrambled to Wemyss Bay Road, just off the A78 in Wemyss Bay, Inverclyde on Tuesday afternoon.
The alarm was raised at 1.40pm.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) said that nobody was trapped in either of the vehicles involved.
Police Scotland however revealed that four people were rushed to hospital following the smash.
The nature of their injuries, current medical conditions and hospital they were taken to for treatment was not disclosed.
Whether those injured were in the ambulance, van or were pedestrians has not yet been confirmed.

Tailbacks on the A78, also known as Shore Road, were sparked in both directions by the crash.
The A78 is the main coast road that runs through Wemyss Bay, connecting Inverclyde to North Ayrshire.
