Ambulance fans stunned as mum who didn't know she was pregnant gives birth in hotel

Ambulance fans were stunned tonight, as a woman who had no idea she was pregnant gave birth in a hotel.

Stacey, 25, was in Manchester for a Harry Potter convention when she went to the toilet and suddenly gave birth.

Her friend called for paramedics and could be heard on the phone saying "you've got a ginger Stacey."

Paramedics rushed to the hotel and suggested she call her new baby girl Hermione - in a nod to why she was in the city.

But she eventually settled on for Elizabeth Alice Rose for her name - after telling her shocked boyfriend Tom.

ITV Good Morning Britain editor interrupts live show and walks on to set

And viewers couldn't believe what they were seeing.

One said: "Set off on a Harry Potter convention with a wand and sorting hat, and come back with a baby."

Another said:  "“It’s a ginger! I’m crying if she doesn’t call the baby Hermione I’m gonna be disappointed."

And a third said: "Good lord that baby is cute, what a shock for mum though. So polite too, apologising to the hotel man for the mess."

Stacey, from Leeds, had to be taken to hospital, as she continued to bleed following the birth.

Packages feared stolen after thieves break into Royal Mail sorting office

She was rushed to St Mary's by paramedics who were concerned for her welfare.

Stacey had a postpartum hemorrhage - but recovered quickly under the care of doctors.
