Ambulance called to incident 'involving young boy' at Fantasy Island in Skegness

An ambulance crew was called to Fantasy Island in Skegness after an incident involving a young boy.

East Midlands Ambulance Service were called to the theme park at around 2pm on Wednesday (October 23).

But the caller cancelled the ambulance soon after the initial call was received.

Reports on social media suggested that an eight-year-old boy was involved in the incident, but the theme park confirmed the rider was unharmed, LincolnshireLive reports.

A spokesperson for Fantasy Island said: "We can confirm there was an incident yesterday at Fantasy Island.

"A young rider was involved but not harmed and did not require the attention of the emergency services.

"The young boy and his family soon returned to the park to enjoy the rides and Fear Island for the remainder of the afternoon."

The park has also confirmed that there was no loss of consciousness as a result of what happened.

Reports on social media suggest the accident involved an eight-year-old boy on the Twister ride - but this has not been confirmed by officials.

A spokesperson for East Midlands Ambulance Service said: "We received a call at 2.12pm yesterday, 23 October to Fantasy Island Theme Park, Skegness but the caller cancelled the ambulance soon after and we were not needed."
