Amber Heard and Johnny Depp's home visited by police 'after actor's team arrived to collect belongings'

Police were called to a Los Angeles property on Monday afternoon after reportedly being contacted by Amber Heard’s team when Johnny Depp's staff arrived to collect property from the building.

Heard, 30, filed for divorce from Depp 53, on 23 May. She alleged Depp abused her physically and emotionally throughout their 15-month marriage. He strongly denied and continues to reject her claims.

Heard was granted a temporary restraining order by a judge shortly after and was also granted the right to stay in the family home.

On Monday, the Los Angeles Police Department said officers arrived to conduct a civil standby and Depp "was not in any kind of violation".

They said neither Depp nor Heard were at the property at the time. Depp is understood to have travelled to the Bahamas last week.

Officer Tony Im told US Weekly: “A representative for Johnny responded to retrieve some of his personal belongings. Johnny is not in any kind of violation.”

The next court hearing is scheduled for 17 June, where a judge will decide if the temporary restraining order against Depp should become permanent.

Heard has now withdrawn her request for temporary spousal support, according to the celebrity entertainment website TMZ.

In a declaration reportedly filed by her lawyer, Heard says her request was “used against me to distract and divert the public away from the very serious real issue of domestic violence”.

Representatives for Depp and Heard did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
