Amber Gill reveals how Caroline Flack supported her after Love Island betrayal

Love Island winner has revealed how thankful she was for Caroline Flack's support after one of the show's biggest betrayals.

It's been a year since the Gateshead beautician triumphed on the ITV2 show alongside now ex Greg O'Shea, which means it has also now been over a year since millions of viewers say her get her heartbroken by love rat Michael Griffiths, after he coupled up with another girl as Amber stayed loyal in Casa Amor.

Amber walked back into the Love Island villa to see Michael hand in hand with Joanna Chimonides, and, while absolutely shell shocked by what she saw, had late host Caroline there to be a pillar of strength.

Speaking on Fleur East's The Reality of Reality TV. podcast, Amber said she'll be forever grateful for that moment with Caroline, who took her own life earlier this year, explaining: "A memory that I hold so close at the minute is that Caroline was obviously there. She was just holding me so tightly and I just felt calmer because I knew that she had me so tightly as well.

"I had her there and I felt like I'd got a bit of calmness and a bit of strength from her holding me so tightly.

"She was sort of radiating to me, like, you're going to be okay. So, I actually loved that, I love that memory so much now."
