Amber Davies and Louise Redknapp hit the town as they celebrate the launch of 9 to 5 in Manchester

Louise Redknapp and Amber Davies looked super-chic as they celebrated the launch of the musical 9 to 5 in Manchester.

Former Love Island winner Amber and pop star Louise turned heads as they headed to the after-party at Revolución de Cuba in Peter Street.

Amber, who won the ITV2 dating show in 2017, looked smart in keeping with the iconic office-based Dolly Parton musical, which tells the story of three workmates pushed to boiling point by their sexist and egotistical boss, in a cream checked dress with a red cross-body bag to match her merlot-hued manicure.

And former Eternal singer Louise looked stunning in a patterned belted dress and stylish black boots as they arrived for the party with their co-star Georgina Castle, who wowed in a pink satin split-to-the-thigh dress.

Louise and Amber posed for a selfie together at the bash, which followed the press night for the touring show.

The musical has arrived in the city after a successful run at London’s Savoy Theatre.

Louise, who is releasing a new album Heavy Love next month followed by a tour which comes to Manchester's The Ritz on Thursday March 19,  is so proud of her forthcoming album she's been playing it in her dressing room on tour with 9 to 5.

"I play it in the dressing room while I'm getting ready," she told the Manchester Evening News.

"I like to put my own music on. I co-wrote most of it and I love playing it."

In 9 to 5 Louise plays Violet Newstead alongside Amber as Judy Bernly and Georgina as Doralee Rhodes.

"It's ahead of it's time and a story of woman power. It's a such clever show and not only funny it's got a really strong message," she said.

And it was a star-studded yellow carpet for the opening night, attended by Corrie stars Alexandra Mardell (Emma Brooker), Daniel Brocklebank (Billy Mayhew) and Faye Brookes (Kate Connor).
