Amber and Greg win Love Island making her the show's first ever Geordie winner

She's had in her own words "a rollercoaster" of a time in the villa but Gateshead girl Amber Gill is walking out of Love Island as a winner.

The past two months have absolutely flown by and no sooner than we heard the first shouts of 'I've got a text!" the Love Island final took place.

Yes, it was way back in early June that we got our first look at this year's Islanders as the hit ITV2 show returned for another series.

Since then we've had recouplings, tears, heartbreaks, laughs and plenty of texts as loads of singles headed in and out of the Love Island villa.

And just four remained as Caroline Flack hosted the live final. The pairs in the running to win this year were Maura & Curtis, Amber & Greg, Molly-Mae & Tommy and India & Ovie but only one would get the big £50,000 cash prize.

There was real tension as Caroline read out the final result and revealed that AMBER AND GREG had won!

Curtis & Maura finished fourth, Ovie & India third and Tommy & Molly-Mae second.

And in the choice of Love or Money, Greg decided to split the £50,000 with Amber.
