While the Love Island final took place in Majorca, the result was greeted by even bigger celebrations in Newcastle as Amber Gill became the show's first ever Geordie winner.
Gateshead beauty therapist Amber and Irish rugby player Greg were the second favourites to win going into Monday night's live Love Island finale but they upset bookies odds by beating Tommy & Molly-Mae into second place.
Amber herself looked absolutely stunned as the result was revealed and there were wild scenes at Stack in Newcastle, where loads of Amber's friends and family had gathered to watch the final on a huge screen in the 'Amber Fan Zone'.
Shouts of "come on Amber" and "come on girl" could be heard during the long dramatic pause before the result was revealed and then there were huge roars as confetti filled the air to celebrate - as you can see in the video below.
After everyone had calmed down a bit, Amber's proud parents Vanessa and Leon took to the Stack stage to react to their daughter's win.
Vanessa joked "We've won X Factor, Big Brother and everything and now we've got one on Love Island.
She continued: "Amber has been amazing all the way through and been herself from day one.
"She's been an absolute superstar and we love Greg."
Leon added "I'd like to thank all of you here tonight. We've had so much support; it's been phenomenal."
