Baby girl found after amber alert issued in Canberra

A three-month-old baby girl has been found safe and well after police issued an amber alert in Canberra.

The young girl had been missing since Tuesday morning when she was spotted with her 26-year-old father, who has custody of her, in the north-Canberra suburb of Scullin.

Police said family members had not been able to contact the father since Tuesday, sparking concerns for his welfare, along with that of his baby daughter.

It is only the third time ACT Policing have issued an amber alert.
