Amber alert for toddler 'abducted by man' as police warn she's in extreme danger

Police say a two-year-old girl has been snatched by a man and is in "extreme danger".

An "amber alert" has been issued over the disappearance of Catalina Chloe Rimpsey.

She is thought to have been taken by her 75-year-old dad Freddy Rimpsey Sr on Wednesday morning, local time.

The alert says: "Catalina Rimpsey was seen last at Anniston, Alabama around 11.30am on July 3, 2019 and is believed to be in extreme danger."

Catalina been described as a black girl with black hair, brown eyes and measuring about 36in tall and weighing about 31lbs.

Her father is described as black with black hair and brown eyes, measuring 5ft 10in and weighing around 215lbs.

Police are searching for a Navy 1999 Ford Econoline bearing an Alabama license plate numbered 11FP201.

According to the alert, authorities believe the pair are possibly bound for Chicago.

Anyone with information on Catalina’s whereabouts is asked to call the Calhoun County Sheriff’s Office at 256-236-6600 or 911.
