A paedophile secretly downloaded more than 8,000 indecent images of children.
Jaroslav Chudoba's sickening collection included 600 of the most serious files showing child rape.
The 45-year-old's vile stash also featured extreme porn images depicting disturbing animal abuse.
Chudoba, of King Edward Street, Warrington, appeared in the dock at Liverpool Crown Court this morning to be sentenced.
He had previously pleaded guilty to three counts of downloading and one count of possessing indecent images of children.
His library of child sex abuse images, which totalled 8,130, was uncovered when police raided his home on July 7 last year.
The Czech national had 600 Category A, 430 Category B and 7,100 Category C indecent images of children.
Chudoba also admitted possessing extreme porn, which according to the charge related to 30 files depicting sex with animals.
All of the illegal images are said to have been downloaded between January 1, 2018 and July 9, 2020.
Due to problems with the court's CVP video link system, a Czech interpreter could not attend the hearing to translate for Chudoba.
Jeremy Rawson, defending, said he would be concerned about the hearing progressing without his client being able to understand.

Judge Rachel Smith said that was not an option and that due to the estimated length of time of the hearing and the number of other cases in her list, the sentencing would have to be adjourned.
She said: "It's highly regrettable and I will apologise to the defendant in a moment."
Chudoba's defence lawyer and Jo Maxwell, prosecuting, said they could both attend if the hearing was relisted for Thursday this week.
Judge Smith adjourned the sentencing until then and remanded Chudoba on unconditional bail.
Chudoba, with long brown hair and wearing tracksuit bottoms and a bubble coat in the dock, said he understood that he would have to return to be sentenced on that date.
