Amazon urges shoppers to do this 'crucial step' ahead of 2023 Prime Day sale

Bargain hunters will be pleased to know that Amazon has finally announced the official dates for Amazon Prime Day 2023, with the two-day shopping extravaganza set to take place from 12.01am on July 11th until 11.59pm on July 12th.

The annual two-day shopping event which is set to be 'the most exciting Prime Day ever' first launched in 2015, and has since grown to become one of the biggest retail events of the year, that just keeps getting bigger and better - and we can tell you that this year is no exception.

The event gives shoppers the chance to pick up savings on thousands of products right across the site, and Prime members can get 48 hours of fantastic savings across all categories, on everything from home and garden, appliances and electricals, to beauty and skincare products, to fashion and tech items such as laptops, gaming, tablets, and so much more that'll see you through the summer months and beyond.

And the great news is, there are already early deals that Prime members can get their hands on starting from today.

New deals will be dropping throughout the event, with discounts on top products from much-loved brands such as Shark, Ninja, Elemis, Olay, Oral B, and fashion brands such as Adidas, Levi's and Ugg.

Amazon's own brands have some huge deals and offers too, plus much more that also include small businesses and artisan makers too.

John Boumphrey, UK Country Manager of Amazon said: “The countdown for Prime Day starts now, and we have an incredible selection of deals to come. We work really hard to deliver great products at the best prices for customers during Prime Day and throughout the year, from the biggest brands to the 100,000 small British businesses that are available on Amazon.

"There is a lot to be excited about and a lot of value to find, with a few fun surprises and experiences to help you feel like a big deal along the way.”

There really is a lot to be excited about, this year isn't just a two-day shopping extravaganza, it's an entire experience - and here are some of the exciting things you should definitely be looking out for.

As we mentioned earlier, deals have already begun for Prime members. This year, members will be able to take advantage of a tailored shopping experience since Amazon is rolling out a more personalised Prime Day deals categories.

From now, Prime members can browse a tailored assortment of deals on the Amazon homepage that include 'Deals related to your views', 'Deals from brands you may like', and '4+ Star deals for you.'

This makes life a lot easier, especially if you've had your eye on a particular product, the category should appear on your home screen, so you can link straight to it and not have to go looking for it when you want to get your hands on that offer.

There's many great offers on Amazon own products that members can bag from today:

  • Prime Video - From today, Prime members can get up to 60% off a broad selection of great movies and TV shows to rent or buy
  • Amazon Music Unlimited - For a limited time, Prime members who haven’t yet tried Amazon Music Unlimited can get four months free, with access to more than 100 million songs and top podcasts ad-free, on-demand, and in high-quality streaming audio.
  • Amazon Devices - From June 29th and throughout Prime Day, Amazon Devices deals will unlock savings of up to 58% on selected products, including the all new Echo Pop, Echo Show 5 and Echo Show 5 Kids, Fire TV Stick 4K Max, Kindle Scribe, Fire Max 11 tablet, Kindle Paperwhite, Blink Home Security, and eero networking devices.
  • Kindle Unlimited - Available now, Prime members can enjoy three months of Kindle Unlimited for no extra charge.
  • Gaming - Starting today, Prime members can claim bonus classic games each week, and members can claim different in-game content and perks for several popular games over the next four weeks.
  • Amazon Photos – From now until midnight on 7th July, Prime members will receive £15 Amazon.co.uk credit when they download the Amazon Photos app and upload their first photo.
  • Audible - Prime members can try Audible free for three months from today. The offer ends 13th July 11:59pm.
  • Grocery Prime members will be able to enjoy an epic 20% off their shopping from now until the end of Prime Day in Amazon Fresh stores and online at amazon.co.uk/fresh.
  • Amazon Brands - Save up to 40% on selected products from Amazon brands from today.

Eager shoppers hoping to snap up a bargain or two from now and when Amazon Prime Day 2023 begins on July 12th - here's how you can prepare for all the bargains that are heading your way.

How to Prepare?

First thing customers can do is join Prime or start a 30-day free trial to participate in the entire event.

From gaining early access to exclusive Prime Day deals to asking Alexa for deal notifications - members can access several ways to prepare for Prime Day.

  • Set up deal alerts: Prime members can subscribe to receive deal alert notifications related to their recent Amazon searches and recently viewed items. All they have to do is visit the Prime Day event page on the Amazon app between now and Prime Day to create deal alerts. Once Prime Day arrives, members will be alerted to any available deals. Remember to turn on Amazon notifications on your mobile device!

  • Receive deal notifications from Alexa: Prime members can ask Alexa for deal notifications on products added to their Wish List, Cart, or Save for Later. To get started, just ask, “Alexa, add [product name] to my cart,” and then ask Alexa to notify you about the deal when it’s live.

To make sure you never miss a deal, nearer the time, savvy shoppers can head to Amazon for top tips on how to make the most out of your shopping experience.

You'll also be able to get up to speed and discover where to spot 'wow' deals throughout the sale.

It's also a good idea to download the Amazon shopping app on your mobile device as we previously mentioned, so you can shop at any time, from anywhere, while being alerted to any lightning deals you may want to get hold of!

Make sure to create an account, and your very own 'wish list' , all will ensure that the buying process is as quick, easy and as smooth as possible.
