Amazon UK have issued a statement after an outage saw people unable to use their site for hours.
People flocked to the website in the lead-up to Christmas to buy presents for the festive season. However, many shoppers logged issues with accessing the website on Wednesday, December 7.
According to Down Detector, more than 2000 people reported problems with the website from midday. Many users took to Twitter and said they were unable to process orders.

People attempting to check out on the site were being shown an alert that says "Sorry, we're experiencing unusually heavy traffic. Please try again in a few seconds."
Now, Amazon has issued a statement apologising to shoppers for issues earlier in the day.
A spokesperson from the website said: "We’re sorry that some customers may have temporarily experienced issues while shopping. We have resolved the issue, and everything is now running smoothly."
