Amazon to stream all four free-to-air Premier League fixtures on Twitch

Football fans in the UK will be able to watch Premier League action for free on streaming service Twitch for the first time ever thanks to Amazon.

The company has the rights to broadcast four Premier League fixtures following football’s restart and has vowed to make them all free to watch.

Amazon Prime Video’s first of four free additional 2019/20 season fixtures will be at Selhurst Park, as Crystal Palace take on Burnley on June 29.

They have also secured the rights to Everton vs Southampton on July 9 and Watford vs Newcastle on July 11, with one more game to be announced at a later date.

As part of Prime’s coverage, for the first time ever fans in the UK will also have the choice to watch live Premier League fixtures for free on streaming service Twitch.

The service is a subsidiary of Amazon and, since being introduced in June 2011, has grown to become extremely popular - particularly with video gamers.

The site usually focuses on live streaming video games or esports competitions, but will now branch out into the Premier League.

Fans can still watch the action via the Prime Video app on connected devices as usual.
