Amazon to slash over 18,000 jobs as part of massive layoffs

Amazon is planning to cut over 18,000 roles as part of major layoffs.

2022 was a difficult year for the tech industry as over 150,000 workers were laid off globally, according to tracking site Layoffs.fyi. US tech company, Salesforce said it would lay off 10% of its staff yesterday.

The company, which employs over 2,500 people in Ireland, will be closing some offices too. It is unknown how many Irish workers will be affected by the announcement.
