Amazon on Thursday announced plans to invest an additional $13 billion in artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud infrastructure in India by 2030, taking its total planned investment in expanding and supporting AI and cloud infrastructure in the country to more than $21 billion between 2026 and 2030.
The announcement was made after Amazon CEO Andy Jassy met Prime Minister Narendra Modi, where he reiterated the company's long-term commitment to India and outlined its plans to deepen investments across cloud computing, AI, ecommerce, logistics and digital skilling.
