Amazon slashes the price of Kids' toys - including Star Wars and Ninjago LEGO sets

Amazon has launched a giant toy sale that includes big discounts on Lego Star Wars and Ninjago sets.

The sale, launched on Tuesday 25 May, cuts the price of hundreds of items in the toys category and the most popular items are likely to be the big-name Lego sets.

The sale comes months before the retailer launches the summer Amazon Prime Day sale, which is expected to take place in July this year. Instead, it has launched discounts on some toys early including big names such as LOL Surprise, Gravitrax and Lego.

The sale also includes discounts on Amazon's Fire 7 Kid's tablet, which is reduced from £100 to £70.

The discounts on toys follow the launch of Amazon's homewares sale on Monday, which featured discounts on Dettol wipes, dishwasher tablets and carpet cleaners.

You can see the full list of discounts here.

Star Wars AT-AT vs Tauntaun Microfighters

The minifigures set includes tiny AT-AT and Tauntaun figures as well as Luke Skywalker complete with lightsaber. The 205-piece set is reduced from £17.99 and £14.99.

Ninjago Legacy Zane's Titan Mech Battle Ninja Building Set

The chainsaw-wielding mech toy is a new take on an old classic Ninjago set. The mech has posable arms and legs, a sword and spinning chainsaw as weapons and spring-loaded shooters. It comes with four minifigures from the Ninjago TV series. The set is £43.99, which is a 20% discount.

Classic Large Creative Brick Box Construction Set

Amazon has cut the price of a classic box of Lego pieces by £10 to £29.99 as part of its Lego sale. The storage box contains hundreds of Lego pieces in 33 different colours and includes windows and doors to help create buildings.
