Amazon shoppers swear by £27 device for keeping mice and flies out of the house

With the warmer weather people are wanting to open up their back doors and spend more time in the garden, so it's not surprise that this time of year can lead to an increase in visible pests in the home.

Whether it's rodents getting too comfortable in the kitchen or flies and ants deciding that they quite like being near the fruit bowl, many of us are familiar with the struggles of trying to get pests out. While there are many options such as fly traps, sticky matts and poison to keep the pests away this often leads to the unpleasant task of cleaning out the aftermath.

AMZ Brand has an Ultrasonic Pest Repeller that Amazon shoppers are saying keeps pests from entering their homes at all. The device plugs into the wall and emits an ultrasonic wave, having three different modes and volumes to keep pests away. Most people cannot hear the sound emitted although some can - with it being recommended that they stick to mode 1.

With over 5,000 five-star ratings it's clear that this device can clear out homes of insects and rodents alike, which is especially useful as the weather starts to get warmer and pests start to leave their mark.

One reviewer wrote: "This is the perfect product to get rid of mice, I was having a major mice infestation in my home due to my neighbours I purchased two one from the kitchen one for the living room and boom within first day I seen the difference.

"I would advise to keep on the high frequency at night when going to bed and low during the day as it’s very powerful with the signal. Mouse all gone within days."

A second Amazon shopper penned: "I bought this product after mice took up residence in our church. We didn’t want to poison them but couldn’t let them make their homes there because they were chewing their way through various locations inside the building.

"I plugged the devices in and for a few days our unwanted guests remained. By day four their calling cards (their dropping) were reduced and after a week they had moved out. Now, several weeks later, there is no sign of the mice. I can recommend this product - it does what it says."

It is reported that for the first two weeks you might see an increase in pest activity, a spokesperson for AMZ informed an Amazon reviewer that this is to be expected saying: "Please note it is normal to see an increase in pest activity in the first two weeks. You can find this information on our listing. The pests are driven out from the hidden places by the ultrasound waves of the product."

One shopper wrote: "Over 3 weeks now since I bought it, fruit flies are gone and German cockroaches seems to disappear, what worried me we didn't had a mouse problem, but they appeared after 2 weeks, well one at the every evening."

That said many shoppers have said that they've seen pests completely leave their homes within days if not the first week.

You can buy a two-pack of the repellers here for £26.99.
