Amazon's 99p Black Friday music deal is cheaper than Spotify

Amazon's Black Friday music streaming deal has undercut Spotify by offering four months of access for just 99p.

The online giant has cut the price of Amazon Music Unlimited, which is aimed at taking on Spotify in the music subscription arena and the latest deal is a lot cheaper than its rival.

While Spotify is offering three months for £9.99 for returning members, and often has a sale for three months free for new users, Amazon has launched a deal that offers better value for music lovers.

Amazon Music Unlimited is priced at just 99p for four months , meaning fans can access the library of 50 million songs for less than 25p per month.

Once the four months are up the subscription can be cancelled at no extra cost or you can keep access to the music and pay £9.99 a month, which is the same amount Spotify charges.

Prime members will only have to pay £7.99 per month once the deal runs out.

Amazon says its music service is completely ad-free and works with voice assistant Alexa.

It is not the first subscription deal Amazon has launched for Black Friday. It is also offering a month of Amazon Prime Video completely free of charge and it includes all 30 Premier League football games set to be screened on Amazon throughout December.
