Amazon recruiting for hundreds of jobs in Scotland with £1,500 sign on bonus

Amazon has started recruiting hundreds of staff it hopes to hire in Scotland with sign-on bonuses of £1,500.

The online retail giant is looking for warehouse staff to pick, pack and distribute orders with a huge incentive bonus to join the company.

There are hundreds of jobs going in the Amazon fulfilment centre in Dunfermline - one of the biggest in the UK. It's the size of 14 football pitches – that's 1,000,000 square feet.

Candidates who join before October 23 will get the sign-on fee of £1,500, according to Amazon's recruitment website.

It is offering full-time and part-time jobs covering day and night shifts - and you don't need any previous experience.

Amazon is offering an hourly rate of £10 with overtime rising to £20 an hour.

The site itself is right next to the M90 and A92, so it's within easy reach of Edinburgh, Stirling, Glasgow and St Andrews.

Describing itself as “one of the world’s best employers”, Amazon is also offering £1,500 bonuses if people start before the end of October.

You will get on-the-job training and be required to receive, check, sort and stow all products and also pick, pack and ship all orders.

After training, you may also move products using industrial trucks and machines, like forklifts and power pallets.

It comes after Amazon announced it is hiring 20,000 seasonal workers across the UK, including more than 100 in its Baillieston centre.

The position will be based at the corporate giant's fulfilment centres, sortation centres and delivery stations.

Pay for Operations roles starts at a minimum of £10.00 per hour, rising to £11.10 per hour in some parts of the UK for all full-time, part-time, temporary, or seasonal roles in Amazon’s fulfilment centres, sort centres and delivery stations.
