Amazon Prime Video: Football fans fume at buffering on Premier League live streams

Several viewers have expressed their anger over buffering issues when trying to watch Amazon Prime Video‘s coverage of tonight’s Premier League fixtures.

Streams are reported to be repeatedly buffering due to issues with broadband connections, while others have complained over the delay between the live matches and the broadcast.

Amazon made its first step into Premier League coverage yesterday, while tonight’s flagship matches include Jose Mourinho’s return to Manchester United with Tottenham and the Merseyside derby.

One user wrote on Twitter: “So Amazon takes exclusivity for the #LIVEVE derby and they can’t even get their own stream working on the Amazon Firestick, their own device!!!! Not a good look for Amazon, never have this issue with BT or Sky... stupid.”

While another added: “Can get the matches displayed on my #AmazonPrime but when I click on the derby game nothing happens. Gutted. Stop messing with my #football is bad enough I’m already paying for @SkySports and @btsportfootball #LFCEFC.”

Another claimed: “Shock – amazon prime is glitching out for the football. Who’d have thought millions of people trying to stream football through UK’s Poundland internet connection wouldn’t work?”

Potential ways for users to fix the buffering issue is by stopping active downloads, clearing browsing history, limiting the number of devices logged into the network and make sure all the drivers are updated.

You can follow tonight’s games below:

Manchester United vs Tottenham

Chelsea vs Aston Villa

Liverpool vs Everton
