Amazon Prime Day Concert NYC: Did Taylor Swift shade Scooter Braun with 'Shake It Off' performance?

On Wednesday night, Taylor Swift took the stage in New York City to perform during Amazon’s Prime Concert. The popstar also appeared to take the opportunity to throw a little bit of shade mid-show.

Fans think Swift was calling out Scooter Braun with her emphasis on calling out the "liars and the dirty, dirty cheats of the world” which she yelled while looking directly into the camera.

The 10-time Grammy winner's feud with Scooter began earlier this month after he acquired her old record label, Big Machine. The label holds the rights to her first six albums, which he now controls. The celebrity manager also works with Kanye West, Justin Bieber and Demi Lovato. Before long, celebrities on all sides were weighing in on the feud.

Prime Day was previously a day where people could purchase inexpensive Instant Pots, but this year, Amazon used the opportunity to throw a seriously A-list concert in New York at Hammerstein Ballroom, complete with Glee’s Jane Lynch as the host and a little help from YouTube star Tyler Oakley.

Twitter immediately went wild as speculation ensued about what was declared “the best moment of the night,” during an evening where Becky G, Sza and Dua Lipa also performed.

It’s been a big year for Swift (and consequently, the Swifties). She got a new cat (welcome, Benjamin Button), put out new music (her new album arrives 'Lover' arrives on August 23) and was named the highest-paid celebrity of 2019.

Swift used her headlining set to play a few of her hits, including 'I Knew You Were Trouble,' 'Love Story,' 'Style,' and of course, 'Shake it Off.' She also performed her new single 'You Need to Calm Down' live for the first time.

2019 is already the summer of Swift - better find some shade before it gets too hot out here.
