After a successful two-days of deals, Amazon's Prime Day event has come to an end.
But the online retailer has now unveiled the UK's best selling items across all categories for 2020.
Prime customers and small independent businesses reaped the benefits of this year's Prime Day, with members in the UK saving more than £75 million during Prime Day. The most purchased categories during Prime Day from third party selling partners included lighting, arts and crafts and school supplies.
Hazel Reynolds, Founder of Gamely Games, Brighton, UK said: “We sold more than 1,000 games in total on Day One of Prime Day - 10 times what we’d normally sell in a day in October.”
Amazon slashed 50% off a range of its popular own-brand devices including the bestselling Echo Dot smart speaker, whiich was reduced to just £18.99, and the Fire TV Cube which was slashed to £89.99.
The grocery section was also a popular category this year, with Christmas soon approaching brands like Celebrations did well with deals on both days of the sale.
