A woman was stunned by an “extra special” Amazon delivery in which a box of LED bulbs were apparently thrown through an upstairs window.
Claudine McLaren, from the Leicestershire village of Houghton on the Hill, returned home on Monday to find a note from the online shopping company saying her parcel had been “put through an open window”.
She found this “weird” as all the downstairs windows were closed, but then found the lights undamaged upstairs.
“We thought it was hilarious. He must have been confident,” Ms McLaren told the BBC. “My mum said he was probably a cricketer.”
The 43-year-old yoga teacher said the parcel was about 22cm x 22cm in length and the window was about 42cm x 48cm.
“The window is ten foot up and there’s no evidence he’s used a ladder,” the mother-of-two added.
“I thought I’d seen it all but sorry I missed these extra special delivery skills.
“I guess I’d have felt differently had the bulbs been broken.”
An Amazon spokesman said: “We have very high standards for our delivery partners and expect every package to be handled with care.”
