Amazon now offering Prime Video Channels 30-day free trials

Online retail giant Amazon has extended its free trial on its Prime Video Channels platform to 30-days.

The announcement comes as Brits in lockdown look for new ways to keep the family occupied at home. The Prime Video trial gives users access to a range of channels that cover everything from reality TV to documentaries.

As previously reported on Cambridge News online, users can sign up to individual channels like Discovery Kids and ITV Hub that are available and cancel it before the 30 days without having to pay a penny.

You can browse what's on offer on Prime Video and sign up by visiting the Amazon website here. As of yet Amazon have not confirmed any end date for the offer.

Channel highlights include Arrow, home to cult classics and horror films including Heathers and Donnie Darko, and Hayu the home of reality TV with more than 200 box sets from The Real Housewives to The Simple Life.

There's also plenty of fitness channels to choose from with exercise classes or yoga activities to take part in, for those trying to keep fit at home.

If you're looking to keep the kids occupied then there's a dedicated Pokemon channel as well as Hopster, featuring educational TV shows, classic nursery rhymes, and fun songs for kids.

Amazon is also giving away a free trial of its Kids Unlimited service during the coronavirus lockdown. It gives customers access to thousands of kid-friendly books, movies, TV shows, educational apps and games.
