Amazon has launched a secret sale but UK customers will not be able to see it on the deals section of the website.
The retail giant has cut the price of popular electronics on the French version of the Amazon website - Amazon.fr. The deals are available to people who buy in the UK however, meaning big savings that can not be found on the UK Amazon website.
The deals can be found on the Amazon Warehouse section of the French Amazon site. Amazon Warehouse sells used or slightly damaged products and that is why prices are usually lower than in mainstream stores.
The Warehouse section includes smartphones, laptops, tablets, home and kitchen appliances. The products are used, tested by Amazon and then resold with the usual returns options for every Amazon product.
The items come in four different ratings; like new, very good, good and acceptable in order to guide you when buying something.
The biggest savings can be found on smartphones such as the Xiaomi Mi 11 Lite, which has been reduced to £160, a Garmin Edge sat nav system for £200 and Sony WH-1000XM3 headphones for £140.
The sale was spotted by users of deals website HotUKDeals but does come with a warning for buyers who want to buy cheap technology from the French version of Amazon.
A user says: "Now they will give you a set amount for postage which most times isnt enough, you can ask them to pay more and they sometimes do and you claim back the postage costs. Missing items is then on you as is completing the custom forms."
Others have warned returns are not straight forward when buying from EU Amazon websites.
