From awkward hair in the face to one arm going completely numb, spooning has its pitfalls.
But yet it's still everyone's favourite snuggling position, whether you prefer little spoon or big spoon.
Now the solution to the numbness problem and the answer to all your cuddling woes has arrived.
A genius new pillow - called the Coodle - has been especially designed to solve the dreaded dead arm.

Being arc-shaped, the Coodle is perfect for comfortably slotting your arm underneath the pillow so it doesn't get squashed, MirrorOnline reports.
The patented design is made from braces that are then surrounded by foam, so it's not only super comfy, but also keeps its shape during the spoon rather than slowly sinking back down onto the bed.
There's two sizes of the Coodle available, costing £51.41 ($65) or £38.76 ($49) and while the pillow is made in the US, it does ship the UK.
As does Amazon, who also sell the Coodle pillow for $49, plus an extra $23.94 in shipping and import fees.
So it will cost over £50, but it might be worth it for a good night's sleep.
The invention is all down to a heart-warming backstory from makers Bob and Shirley who are now sharing the Coodle with the rest of the world.
