Thousands struggle to make Amazon purchases after Sky boradband glitch

Thousands of people struggled to make Amazon purchases or log in to their accounts after Sky boradband technical problems.

Many took to social media to report issues with the site, including issues logging in and making purchases.

More than 2,000 customers logged complaints since glitches were first found.

Users in London, Brighton and Bristol are understood to be the worst hit, however reports of issues have also been logged as far north as Aberdeen, reports the Sun.

Twitter users told of their frustration at not being able to complete purchases.

One wrote: "I can't log on to the amazon app or website. All I get is a blank screen."

Another wrote: "Down for me as well since last night. Android app and your website.

"All other apps and websites working fine so problem is with amazon not our networks."

Some users suggested ways to solve the problem on website Down Detector.

Colin Bell wrote: "Also a Sky broadband user that was having problems.

"Turned off Shield and it started working again - then turned shield BACK ON again (as I was reluctant to leave it off), and Amazon continues to work (for me at least).

"So for those that have turned it off you may want to try turning back on again. Obviously it reset something at Sky!"

Marisa Dunn added: "My Amazon has not been working since yesterday, I'm with Sky broadband; however, my neighbours Amazon is working and they're with Sky broadband."

Amazon said they are investigating the issue.
