Amazon 2023 Spring Sale: everything you need to know to bag the best deals

Amazon has launched a Spring Sale with hundreds of discounts to be found across its site, including 'lightning deals', money-off household items, as well as huge discounts on its own Echo products.

The 40% sale started at 6pm on March 27 and will be available until Wednesday, March 29. Whilst deals are coming in thick and fast there's a few things shoppers can do spot the 'best' offer. From signing up to alerts to knowing exactly where the online retailer will post items with the most money-off.

Since the release of the deals we've spotted huge discounts on the retailers own products from £14 Amazon Fire Sticks, Echo Dots reduced to just £4.50 and a huge saving on the brands Fire TV's which are reduced from around £999 to £699.

Some of the best deals can be found by signing up for the Watch A Deal feature which lets shoppers preview, track and shop limited-time deals by receiving alerts online as well as in the Amazon app.

Shoppers can also subscribe to Deal Alerts to receive notifications that will be driven by their most recent Amazon searches and viewed items, and Amazon Wish List items will trigger a notification if they are reduced.

Amazon's 'lightning deals' and 'WOW deals' pages post the deals with the biggest saving and because the discounts are so good somre are only available to buy at the deal price between a two hour window. All in all, shoppers will have until 11:59 on March 29 to buy in the Spring Sale.

Deals can also be spotted on Twitter with Amazons Spring Sale episodes, hosted by UK presenter Rylan Clark, who was one of the first to announce the sale last week.

By signing up for alerts and notifications and following Rylan, savvy shoppers will be the first to see deals as they launch - a must for successful sale shopping.

As day two of the sale gets underway these are some of the best we've spotted so far.

Huge discounts on Amazon tech including £50 off Fire Tablets

Amazon has confirmed big discounts on their own brand tech. This includes savings of as much as £60 off Fire Tablets including Fire HD 10 Tablet (£109.99) and Fire HD 10 Kids Tablet (£149.99), and up to £20 on Fire TV devices including Fire TV Stick 4K Max (£47.99), and the Fire TV Cube (£119.99).

There's also savings of up to £50 on Amazon Echo devices including the Echo Dot (5th Gen) (£29.99), Echo Show 8 (2nd Gen) (£84.99) and Echo Show 15 (£219.99) and savings on the Kindle Scribe (£284.99), Kindle Paperwhite (£94.99) and Kindle 2022 (£69.99).

As part of the sale, Amazon is also offering deals on entertainment including 3 months of Amazon Music Unlimited for free for new subscribers, and access to millions of titles and magazines with 3 months of Kindle Unlimited for just £9.49. These offers are available for a limited time only, and terms and conditions apply.

From April 1, new customers will also be able to sign up to enjoy Audible for 3 months for just 99p (£7.99 per month thereafter).

The retailer is currently offering up to 45% off some of its Echo Dot Smart Bluetooth speakers, which come equipped with virtual assistant Alexa.

The 5th generation Echo Dot is available for £29.99 reduced from £54.99, while the Echo Dot with Clock has also had its price slashed from £64.99 to £39.99.

Money-off Samsung smartphones, clothing, beauty and more

The Samsung Galaxy A13 has been reduced from £179 to £139 - the cheapest Samsung smartphone included in the sale. Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy S22 has 30% off and is now priced at £539, down from £769.

Amazon is also offering a bundle with the Google Pixel 7 and Pixel Buds Pro wireless earbuds for £499 - saving 35% off its usual price of £778.99. This works out £100 cheaper than getting the Google Pixel 7 on its own, which is also included in the sale for £599.

Amazon Fashion has also included some big savings with 30% off men's, women's and children's clothing, and 40% off makeup and nailcare, as well as premium beauty products from big-name brands including Vera Wang and Calvin Klein.
