Amazon and B&Q shopper reveals 'absolutely gorgeous' bargain bathroom transformation

One Amazon and B&Q shopper was able to completely transform the look of their bathroom using products from the two retailers. After they posted photos of the room before and after, others were quick to share their thoughts on the makeover.

The savvy homeowner divided their bathroom wall into two separate sections — an upper half consisting of tiles bought from Amazon and a lower half made up of MDF panelling from B&Q. Although the price of the panelling was not revealed, the cost of the tiles from Amazon was less than £16.

In the photo of the room before the renovation, it looks basic and drab — with an uninspiring all-white colour scheme. However, after the work, it looks brand new.

The tiles add some texture to the room, making it appear more professional, whilst the grey wood panelling injects a sense of calm that the pristine white walls before lacked.

The homeowner revealed that the panelling was made by cutting MDF board into 100mm strips and fitting them straight onto the wall. The Grecian Grey Tile Wallpaper Anti-Bacterial Textured Vinyl Kitchen tiles meanwhile were bought from Amazon for £15.99.

Since being posted to the DIY On a Budget UK Facebook group, the photos have received almost 400 likes from fellow users. Additionally, nearly 60 people left comments sharing their thoughts on the makeover.
