Amazing time-lapse video shows London Stadium transform from West Ham home to hosting Muse, MLB and athletics

Premier League football will be back at London Stadium in less than a month, following a hectic summer in which West Ham United's home has played host to 250,000 spectators attending several other sporting and entertainment events.

73,000 fans witnessed Muse’s Simulation Theory concert at the venue on June 1, before one of the world's biggest sporting rivalries - the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox - came to Stratford to contest the first Major League Baseball games ever to be played in Europe.

After the success of those back-to-back sell-out games, athletics is the next sport to take centre stage, with the Muller Anniversary Games taking place at the stadium on July 20 and 21.

There will then be a quick 10-day turnaround before West Ham are back in action against LaLiga opposition in Athletic Bilbao in the club's final pre-season friendly on August 3.

Reigning champions Manchester City are the visitors to London Stadium on the first weekend of the new top-flight campaign.
